The Boys are still trying to take down Vought and The Seven in Season 2; however, the only member of The Seven they've successfully taken out for good was Translucent back in Season 1, Episode 2, "Cherry." Hughie managed to kill Translucent, but this proved to be a trying task for The Boys. While they struggled with the invisible hero, one Marvel character could've taken him out with ease, and she happens to have similar powers. Translucent would be bested by Sue Storm of the Fantastic Four, proving that she is the better invisible hero by a landslide.

Invisible Woman's Force Fields Vs. Translucent's Carbon Skin

Invisible Woman in a fight

As established in Season 1, Episode 1, "The Name of the Game," Translucent does not actually turn invisible. His skin turns into a carbon material that bends the light around him, giving him the illusion of invisibility. This also makes his skin nearly indestructible. In this state, Translucent is able to withstand a car crash, a crowbar and a chainsaw without so much as a scratch, where other Supes, like Starlight, A-Train, Black Noir and Kimiko, would be injured to certain extents, with the latter two being able to heal quicker than the average person.

While this ability makes him nearly indestructible, Frenchie realizes that the best way to take out Translucent is from the inside. His skin may be carbon, but his internal organs are not, so an explosive from within his body would be able to kill him when detonated, which is exactly what happens.

Where The Boys had to knock out Translucent in order to get the bomb in him, the Invisible Woman could blow him up without the need of extra force. Along with her invisibility, Sue can create force fields around herself as a defense mechanism, but she can also use these force fields for an offensive attack.

"Did you know I can create a force field inside someone's body and expand it until they explode?" Sue tells Doctor Doom in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

This is exactly the move she'd need to do in order to take out Translucent for good. If not this, she can use her psionic force fields in several other ways that prove deadly. As established in Invisible Woman #5, written by Mark Waid with art by Mattia De Iluis, Sue can obstruct someone's arteries, fill someone's lungs so they suffocate, crush someone's windpipe or simply drive a psionic spike through someone's heart. With so many ways she could kill a person from the inside, Translucent doesn't stand a chance. Even if she's not going for the kill, her force fields could at least contain the Supe.

Sue Storm Sees Through Translucent

What makes Translucent such an asset to The Seven is the fact that no one can see him coming. As seen in Episode 1, Hughie is caught bugging Vought by Translucent because of his "invisibility." Furthermore, Hughie has no clue where Translucent is in his store until Translucent decides to confront him. He's even able to follow Hughie all the way from Vought Tower to the store without being noticed by him or Butcher, proving Translucent is a master of going unnoticed.

While this gives him the upper hand on most foes, this power proves to be pointless against the Invisible Woman. Not only can Sue turn herself invisible, but she can also see the unseen. Her eyes can detect cosmic rays along with visible light, so she can see other invisible objects, or in this case other invisible Supes. In Invisible Woman #4, also by Waid and De Iluis, Sue further explains that she can concentrate hard enough to see in complete darkness or if she's been blinded, proving there is nowhere to hide for her enemies.

With her force fields and the ability to see the invisible, Sue Storm would easily get the better of Translucent. While she has a strong moral code and is against killing, the Invisible Woman could at least apprehend him, even when he's in his carbon form and unseen to the rest of the population. Meanwhile, if for some reason the Invisible Woman decides to break her moral code, then it's game over for Translucent in a matter of moments.
