WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for The Boys Season 2, Episode 8, "What I Know," available now on Amazon Prime Video.

The Boys Season 2 has come to an end, delivering a surprisingly happy ending for most of the protagonists while also going out with one last bang before the next season. Season 2 had the task of tying up several cliffhangers from Season 1. This season also presented several questions of its own, but thankfully, fans don't have to wait for Season 3 to get some of those answers, which are provided below.

What Will Homelander Do to His Son?

Homelander and Ryan Butcher

One of the biggest reveals of Season 1 is that Becca and her son, Ryan, are alive. The season ends with Homelander telling Ryan he's his dad, and Ryan's eyes glow red, implying he has Homelander's powers. Homelander has killed children before, so it would make sense to fear for Ryan’s life; however, Homelander decides to step in as Ryan's dad and teach him about his powers.

At first it feels like he’s grooming Ryan to be another deadly Supe, but Homelander expresses he doesn’t want his son to grow up like him, isolated from the world and confused about what he is. This leads to Homelander kidnapping Ryan and trying to integrate him into society, causing Ryan to panic. Surprisingly, Homelander takes Ryan away from the crowd to calm down and reveals he was also scared as a kid. Homelander is training Ryan to be a Supe, but he also cares about Ryan in his own way. However, things are no longer the same, with Ryan frying Stormfront and choosing Butcher over Homelander.

Will Butcher and Becca be Together?

Along with Homelander learning the truth about Becca and Ryan, Butcher also learns his wife is alive. Throughout Season 1, Butcher refuses to accept Becca’s death until he knows exactly what happened, and her mysterious tragedy is his prime motivation. While he's delivered to her doorstep at the end of Season 1, Homelander drags him away as soon as Butcher learns the truth.

Butcher has enough information though to find Becca's home again, returning to her and planning to run off together. However, Becca changes her mind because she knows Butcher will never accept her son, and she refuses to abandon him. While this rejection initially breaks Butcher, he pulls himself together to continue his work with The Boys, hoping to truly liberate Becca. After Homelander takes Ryan, Becca reunites with her husband, pleading for his help. He originally plans to hand Ryan over to Vought so he and Becca can be together; however, he changes his mind, sending her and Ryan away so they can be safe. Unfortunately this backfires, leading to Becca's death.

Where Do Starlight, A-Train and The Deep Stand With Vought?

At the end of Season 1, Starlight chooses The Boys over Vought, A-Train suffers a heart attack, and The Deep's been removed from The Seven. Surprisingly enough, Starlight is still on the superhero team; although, she is helping Hughie and The Boys. Meanwhile The Deep is off the team, and A-Train is being forced to retire, as per Homelander's wishes.

While Starlight is on the team, her loyalties are tested until her cover is blown, and Vought brands her a traitor; however, they welcome her back after she helps stop Stormfront. As for A-Train and The Deep, both end up with the Church of the Collective under the impression that the organization can get them back to The Seven. This almost works for The Deep; however, after learning Stormfront is the main obstacle in his way, A-Train hands over condemning files to Starlight. This leads to the church pulling strings for A-Train instead of The Deep; therefore, The Seven has the same roster as it does from Season 1's finale; however, this time Black Noir is out of commision.

Who is Stormfront?

Stormfront from The Boys

Prior to the season beginning, there were a lot of questions about Stormfront, the newest member of The Seven. Off the back, she seems to be a public favorite thanks to her willingness to challenge Vought, strong stance against corporate manipulation and massive social media following; however, it's soon revealed she's no better than Homelander, as she kills innocent people and takes pleasure in murder. She's also insidious, using her social media platform, as well as her airtime as a hero, to push xenophobic and racist ideas.

This, along with her comic character's backstory, are enough to prove she's a white supremacist. However, she puts the nail in the coffin when she blatantly comes out to Homelander about her Nazi background, revealing she's not only the first Supe, but she is also Frederick Vought's wife. She plans on continuing his work by radicalizing America and creating an army of Supes to fight for her bigoted beliefs. Thankfully, this fails with Kimiko, Queen Maeve and Starlight beating her up, followed by Ryan burning and amputating her.

Will the Public Learn About Compound V?

With The Boys learning the truth about Compound V in Season 1, this raised a lot of questions about which Supes were in on it, if only babies were exposed to it and if the public would eventually learn about the drug. All of these questions were answered in Season 2, starting with Starlight leaking the truth about Compound V to the public. Not only is this initially met with backlash from the people, but it's also revealed a majority of the members of The Seven did not know they were drugged as babies.

While the people are not happy about Compound V in the beginning, Homelander and Stormfront are able to spin the narrative after blaming Kimiko's brother for the death and destruction Stormfront caused pursuing him. With this fear of super terrorists, people start to demand that more Supes be created with Compound V. This demand directly feeds into what Vought has been up to at Sage Grove, where they've expanded into testing Compound V on adults.

Is There More to the Lamplighter Incident?

Season 1 reveals that after Lamplighter killed Mallory's grandkids, The Boys disbanded. Fans knew little about Lamplighter aside from this and the fact that he was no longer part of The Seven; however, it appears he left on somewhat decent terms as he now works for the company at Sage Grove. He assists Stormfront with the test subjects, burning any evidence that could tank their mission, including people. It's at Sage Grove that The Boys learn what really happened at Mallory's that fateful night.

While Frenchie was supposed to be keeping an eye on Lamplighter, he left his post to save his friend. In those moments, Lamplighter goes to Mallory's with the intention to burn her alive; however, he doesn’t realize her grandkids are in the bed until it’s too late. Lamplighter feels immense guilt over this and doesn't turn over the information he has on The Boys. He later agrees to help them at the Congressional hearings, but this is no longer the case after he burns himself alive while Starlight breaks out of Vought.

Who is Blowing Up Everyone's Heads?

Along with Homelander and Stormfront acting as the primary antagonists, there is a mysterious Supe blowing up people's heads. This starts in Season 2, Episode 1, "The Big Ride," with Susan Rayner losing her head in front of The Boys. This Supe doesn't reappear until Episode 7, "Butcher, Baker, Candlestick Maker," where they blow up at least a dozen people in the Congressional hearing, including Dr. Vogelbaum, several members of Congress, Shockwave and several bystanders.

The last time this Supe's powers are seen in action are during the finale, where Alastair Adana's head is blown up after a phone call with Congresswoman Neuman, who turns out to be the Supe. This explains why she was spared during the hearing. Turns out her scanning the hearing was not about locating the Supe; it was about choosing her next victims. It's unclear what her motives are, especially since her campaign is targeted against Vought, but her actions have taken out some of the company's threats. Whatever game she's playing, hopefully Season 3 can give fans more answers.

Amazon Studios' The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as the Female, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander, Aya Cash as Stormfront and Simon Pegg as Hughie's dad.
