The Boys comic

DC Comics has some of the most iconic villains in pop culture history. These baddies range from megalomaniacal evil geniuses to world-conquering aliens to murderous psychopaths. But as formidable as these villains might be, they haven't gone up against the Boys.

From the new Amazon show and the Grant Ennis comic series, the Boys are a covert team of ruthless antiheroes who take pleasure in handing out justice to the lawless superpowered community. The Boys have proven they can take on some impressive enemies but which DC bad guys can they go toe-to-toe with? Here are some DC villains the Boys could defeat and some they have no chance against.

10 Could Defeat: Penguin

Penguin might be one of Batman's most famous enemies, but that doesn't mean he's all that scary. Penguin aka Oswald Cobblepot is a prominent crime boss in Gotham City who has a particular penchant for birds, sometimes using them in his various crimes.

First of all, the Boys would never be scared of a guy who uses birds and exploding wind-up ducks in his crimes. The stout criminal also couldn't put up much of a fight against them so they would make short work of him and his feathered friends.

9 No Chance: Sinestro

The Boys have beaten plenty of superpowered people of impressive abilities, but aliens with cosmic weapons which be out of their league. Sinestro was once a member of the Green Lantern Corps before becoming evil.

Sinestro proves to be one of the greatest beings to wield the power of the Green Lantern before wielding the element of fear to become one of the universe's most feared villains. As clever and inventive as the Boys are, they just can't compete with someone who can literally summon anything that comes to his mind.

8 Could Defeat: Lex Luthor

Lex Luthor is one of the most iconic comic book villains of all-time and the archnemesis of Superman. Though he is just a mortal man, he has proven himself a worthy opponent for the Man of Steel thanks to his incredible intelligence.

But even the smartest man in the DC Universe might not be prepared for what the Boys bring to the table. The Boys are known to turn someone's confidence against them. Luthor would surely think the Boys are no match for him, and they would use his underestimation to bring him down.

7 No Chance: Bizarro Superman

Superman is probably the most powerful superhero in comic books. He is an all-powerful and noble being, which makes Bizarro Superman a real threat. Bizarro is a reverse version of Superman with many of the same awesome abilities.

Superman is one of those heroes that the Boys would not have a chance of defeating and Bizarro Superman poses the same problem for them. While they might be able to put up a good fight, they are just no match for a being of such impossible strength and endurance.

6 Could Defeat: Two-Face

Two-Face is another classic Batman villain and a real formidable one at times. Formally known as prosecutor Harvey Dent, Two-Face becomes a disfigured gangster obsessed with duality. The concept controls his life to the point that he decides all his actions through the flip of a coin.

The Boys would have a lot of fun with a villain who has such an obvious weakness. They would exploit that obsession to the point of driving Two-Face. And in the end, he is just a madman with a lot of guns so they can handle him just fine.

5 No Chance: Black Adam

The fact that Dwayne Johnson is attached to play Black Adam in the DCEU should indicate the kind of tough character he is. Black Adam is an ancient being dating back to early civilization in Egypt. He is a predecessor to Shazam (Captain Marvel) and often seeks to challenge the hero for supremacy.

So Black Adam is a supervillain who goes around picking fights with some of the most powerful heroes of all-time. It's safe to say the Boys would have their hands full with him. He summons his energy from Egyptian gods which suggests he is someone they just might want to avoid.

4 Could Defeat: Deathstroke

Deathstroke is one of the newer members of Batman's rogue's gallery who has made a significant name for himself. Though not as iconic as some of the other bad guys, he is a fan favorite and a true badass. Deathstroke is a genetically modified super-soldier who works as a deadly mercenary.

Unfortunately, super-soldier or not, a guy with guns and swords just isn't much of a threat to the Boys. Yes, Deathstroke could take them on in combat, but the Boys are smart enough to take him out before he ever has a chance to throw a punch.

3 No Chance: Darkseid

Darkseid is one of those villains who requires the entire Justice League team to take him on. Darkseid is known as one of the most powerful beings in the universe and the tyrannical ruler of Apokolips. His immense power has proven a challenge even to heroes like Superman.

Even the Boys would know not to mess with a villain as huge as Darkseid. His power is so great that he could even wipe out a team as formidable as the Boys in the blink of an eye. The Boys would probably just leave Darkseid for the Justice League to deal with.

2 Could Defeat: Joker

Joker is one of the most iconic villains in pop culture history. It's hard to even think of Batman without thinking of his deranged archnemesis. The Clown Prince of Crime has given Batman a lot of trouble over the years, but the Boys would probably just have fun with Joker.

One of the reasons Joker is such trouble for Batman is because he tries to force Batman to kill him, which the hero refuses to do. The Boys have no such problems with killing. Even Joker's most horrific crime wouldn't phase the Boys, and they'd probably find a way to top him.

1 No Chance: Doomsday

Doomsday bloody

When it comes to a villain who has famously killed Superman, it becomes pretty obvious why the Boys wouldn't want to mess with him. Doomsday is a mindless beast who was genetically engineered long ago. As he comes to Earth, Doomsday faces off with Superman and manages to kill the hero.

The Boys might be foolish enough to attempt to stop Doomsday in their clever ways, but it's highly unlikely they would be anything except annoying to him. Doomsday is pretty much unstoppable and he could squash the Boys without even noticing.
