As the most popular superheroes in the world of The Boys, the Seven have received their own in-universe action figure line, complete with retro commercial.The Amazon series has released a faux commercial that shows several children playing with action figures based on the beloved superhero team. As the Homelander, A-Train and Queen Maeve are seen smashing through the playset, the undersea hero the Deep arrives mounted on his trusty dolphin -- though a fine print disclaimer immediately notes that the dolphin does not come included.
"Fighting crime, Seven-style!" the kids announce cheerfully, blissfully unaware how nasty the superhero team actually is behind-the-scenes.
The television adaptation of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's long-running comic book series has already been renewed by Amazon and is currently in the middle of principal photography on its second season.
The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as the Female, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander and Simon Pegg as Hughie's dad. A Season 2 premiere date has not yet been announced.
