The Boruto series has proven to be quite a decent continuation of the Naruto story, however, with a different protagonist in Naruto's son, Boruto Uzumaki. Having accomplished his dream of becoming the Seventh Hokage, Naruto's story isn't all that important anymore, which is why questions are often raised about his death.

In the latest arc of Boruto, Naruto's death against Isshiki Otsutsuki looks to be inevitable, as Kurama stated to him. However, there are still reasons why he absolutely needs to stay alive and ways that he could be saved which will be explored here.

Boruto has been a fairly good manga to enjoy for all the Naruto fans, however, it is a simple fact that the manga wouldn't exist without Naruto. Most people who read Boruto are there because of Naruto and killing him off would be a very questionable move on the part of the writers.

Naruto is an icon and an inspiration to thousands of people and his death would not only leave a sour taste in their mouths but also drive some away from the manga.

9 COULD BE SAVED: Using Six Paths Powers

While Naruto's death after the fight against Jigen certainly does look inevitable, there are ways to avoid it and one of the easiest of them all would be Six Paths powers, which Naruto can use.

Naruto Uzumaki is a user of Yin-Yang Release, like Hagoromo, using which he can even restore lost organs, as he did with Kakashi. If using Kurama's full power destroys his body, he could very well use this ability to save himself from death.

8 WON'T DIE: Due To Kawaki's Words

Boruto and Kawaki

Naruto Uzumaki's death has been teased since the very beginning of the series where Kawaki was fighting Boruto in the prologue. While on the surface it looks like Naruto is dead, his wording suggests that he's sent him to another dimension with a space-time ninjutsu.

Furthermore, the battle indicates that whatever happens to Naruto does so through Kawaki and not Isshiki, meaning Naruto most certainly won't die here.

7 COULD BE SAVED: With Sakura Haruno's Superb Healing Skills

Isshiki Otsutsuki is incredibly strong, recently confirmed to be potentially stronger than even Kaguya Otsutsuki. As such, defeating him requires Naruto to go beyond all his limits and put his life on the line.

Undoubtedly, this fight will leave him on death's door and that's where Sakura comes in. With her advanced medical skills and her ability to use Byakugou, Sakura could potentially help Naruto survive this dangerous ordeal and in doing so, gain more relevance in the Naruto story.

6 WON'T DIE: He Is Konoha's Protector

Naruto is the strongest shinobi in the entire series and his recent powers put him well and above Sasuke as well. Without him, the village would fall apart as there is no successor to replace him right now.

Sasuke needs to defend the village from the outside, which would mean Konoha will drastically weaken if Naruto dies. While Naruto won't be there to look after the village forever, he has to be there until Boruto or Sarada become worthy of taking the mantle.

5 COULD BE SAVED: He Has Uzumaki Vitality

The Uzumaki Clan has a great life force which comes from them being distant relatives of Asura Otsutsuki. Furthermore, Naruto Uzumaki himself is the reincarnation of Asura, meaning his life force is exceptionally strong even for an Uzumaki.

He can certainly survive things like Tailed Beast extraction without dying, and thus, something that Kurama thought would kill a normal Nine-Tails Jinchūriki might not be enough to kill the Uzumaki.

4 WON'T DIE: Can Counter The Otsutsuki Threat

The Otsutsuki clan is an exceptionally powerful group of alien parasites that exist on some planet in the Narutoverse. Most of them remain to be a mystery right now, however, they will certainly step up later on.

Sasuke alone won't be able to handle any of them, while Boruto and the others just aren't ready yet. Naruto's survival is essential for the ninja world to survive and this might just be the biggest reason why Kishimoto won't be ending his life in the fight against Isshiki.

3 COULD BE SAVED: Using Momoshiki's Power

Momoshiki Otsutsuki is currently using Boruto as a vessel, a bit like Kurama is with Naruto. Being an Otsutsuki, he is likely to possess some great powers that fans haven't seen him use right now.

While not a certainty, it is possible that Momoshiki has a way to save Naruto Uzumaki from dying against Isshiki, and he could very well do so, provided that he benefits from it in some way.

2 WON'T DIE: His Legacy Is Not Complete

Naruto Uzumaki Legacy

Naruto Uzumaki might have become the Seventh Hokage long ago and accomplished his dream but his legacy is far from being done and dusted. While there is no denying that this is Boruto's story, Naruto still plays a crucial role in it.

A good part of his dream focuses on maintaining true peace and to accomplish that, Naruto will just have to push through this adversity and survive somehow.

1 COULD BE SAVED: Using Sasuke's Rinne Tensei With The Rinnegan

Rinne Tensei is one of the most powerful Jutsu to exist in the world of Naruto and it can only be used by a user of the fabled Rinnegan eye. This technique allows the user to bring back anyone from the dead, however, the cost is usually the life of the user.

Sasuke, being a user of the Rinnegan, could certainly bring him back to life if he dies in the fight against Isshiki. While an average user would die from using the Rinne Tensei, it is possible that Sasuke will survive because of having half of Hagoromo's powers and inheriting Indra's abilities.
