The following contains spoilers for Chapter 75 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, "The Domain of Gods," by Masashi Kishimoto, Mikio Ikemoto, Mari Morimoto and Snir Aharon, now available in English from Viz Media.

One of the biggest mysteries in the Boruto series has been the scientist Amado's obscure history. He did say he lost a daughter, which teased why he might have allied with Kara under Isshiki Ōtsutsuki. Many speculated the alien would offer him a means to resurrect her, but again, no one knew for sure if Amado was telling the truth.

Well, come Chapter 75 of the Boruto manga, everything has finally been revealed regarding the young lady named Akebi. It turns out that she did die due to a mysterious illness 12 years ago, at the age of 24. But as Amado confesses how Isshiki promised him to bring her back -- and why he had to betray the boss after he felt the alien would destroy the planet -- Amado's new plan has linked his daughter to Kawaki in a big way. And it all has to do with the Delta clone he's brought over to Konoha.

Amado's Daughter Akebi Can Be Revived By Kawaki

Amado divulges the truth about Shibai and how he gave the alien's powers to Eida -- as well as the bratty Daemon and Code. In fact, Kawaki also has some of Shibai's abilities, but the kicker is, Delta is different. She is actually one of many attempts to clone Akebi, although Amado couldn't transfer her humanity and personality into the body.

That has changed, however, thanks to the second Karma mark Amado put on Kawaki without anyone knowing. After the first one failed to rewrite Kawaki and let Isshiki be reborn in the vessel, Amado implemented this second one to allow Kawaki the ability to place his own mark on someone. Once Kawaki does so, that rewriting process -- which finally contains the perfect formula to revive Akebi -- would give Amado his daughter again.

Amado's Delta Is the Vessel to Bring His Daughter Back

Delta is an Inner of Kara

As for the host body, the current Delta clone in Konoha is the one Amado wants Kawaki to rewrite. Once the teen puts the mark on her, Akebi's mind will be downloaded, making Delta into Amado's true daughter. This explains why Amado needs Kawaki healthy and why he's been protective, having to secure Delta in the Hidden Leaf.

However, it's not certain if this digital mapping will work as Amado himself adds this isn't an exact process. The rebirth technique, after all, has many scientific risks and room for error, as seen with how Momoshiki failed to rewrite Boruto and how Isshiki failed to co-opt Kawaki. It might be a dangerous gamble, with an overly-emotional Amado making a final Hail Mary play; but if it's successful, it could give the scientist a happy ending.

However, one has to hope Akebi's mind isn't fractured. She might be angry that Amado played god and defied nature, using Delta's weapons to wreak havoc. This could lead to the Konoha-nin, or even her own dad, having to put her down. But for now, Boruto fans are intrigued to see if Amado can reboot their tragic lives and perhaps, finally show Konoha he's a worthy partner they can trust.
