Kawaki from Boruto.

Kawaki is a controversial but formidable ninja. He's among Boruto's strongest next-generation shinobi and knowing this makes him arrogant. In addition, the time-jump scene ominously hints at his future betrayal, causing him to be a polarizing figure.

Naruto's accepting Kawaki divides fans. Those who firmly support the Uzumaki family find Kawaki's suspiciousness too risky. If he turns against Boruto or Naruto during that time, fans will want him stricken down. For now, he could still use a few losses to curb his poor attitude and help him reprioritize.

Shikadai and Shikamaru Nara

Shikamaru Nara, one of Boruto's strongest Jonin, is famous for his intellect. His son, Shikadai, is the same. Unfortunately, fans have yet to see his abilities' full extent.

Shikamaru's fight with Hidan in the prequel series propelled the Hidden Leaf's genius into legend. He suffered a staggering defeat and lost his mentor during their first altercation. Code from Boruto

Code is the strongest Boruto villain since Isshiki's death. Furthermore, he's acutely aware of his power level. This can cause him to he act smug and careless.

Despite his impetuousness, he eludes Boruto's heroes. The late Isshiki commanded him to destroy the planet. So, Code needs to be defeated quickly. If he's not stopped, the entire Boruto universe will be in jeopardy. Fans aren't excited about that, and they won't mourn Code's end. He deserves a swift defeat for his villainy and the impending threat he poses.

Though Momoshiki is no longer corporeal, he lives on inside Boruto using the Karma power. As a result, he constantly threatens to possess Boruto (one of the Karma seal's harsh realities).

Fans don't want to see an Otsutsuki hijack the protagonist's body and further his world-domination plans. So, they anticipate Momoshiki's deserved end. As it stands, the Otsutsuki clan are the ultimate villains. Their defeat is the end game.

The Third Hokage's death inspired Naruto's generation to achieve peace between the nations. Though no one wants Naruto to die, he should pass the torch to someone else. Despite losing the Rinnegan, Sasuke has many powers. So, it's not time for him to disappear completely. However, fans are ready to see the protagonists of Boruto shine. However, he would never willingly place the burden on the younger generation. So, the series has to force him through failure.

1 Amado Is The New Danzō Shimura

Boruto's Amado

Yntil recently, Amado was one of Kara's most intelligent members. So, he is untrustworthy despite defecting to the Hidden Leaf. He created formidable cyborgs like Daemon and Eida, but his motives for doing so are unclear.

Boruto's inclusion of human experiments reminds fans of Naruto: Shippūden's Danzō Shimura. Danzō was one of the most hated villains for his many crimes. He ran a shadowy organization, conducted human experiments, and brainwashed children. Amado's path feels similar. He deserves defeat if only to avoid a repeat of Danzō.
