WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations #42 by Masashi Kishimoto, Mikio Ikemoto and Ukyo Kodachi, on sale now.

With Jigen's Kara making their next move against the free world, the terrorist organization's leader placed Naruto in a secret prison in a space-time pocket. Luckily, Boruto and Team 7 were able to locate the Hokage, however, the fight against the enforcer, Boro, hasn't gone exactly to plan.

The youngsters have found the going tough with Boro unleashing his monstrous Bane-like form, but as the fight wears on and Boruto, Mitsuki and Kawaki try to exploit the one weakness they find in the assassin, Team 7 unleashes Sasuke's greatest weapon -- both literally and figuratively.

After realizing they need to strike at the chakra core in Boro, the flaw these scientifically-engineered ninjas from Jigen's camp have, it's up to Sarada to locate the exact spot. Kawaki confesses it's a small engine, similar to a heart, hidden in these warriors' bodies but the locations vary. Not even he can tell Boro's spot as they're all built so differently.

This is where her Sharingan comes into play. This ocular jutsu powers her eyes up so she can spot chakra boosts and as her teammates occupy Boro, after some scouring, Sasuke's daughter heads for the killer with the location fixed in mind. She's become Sasuke's greatest weapon after honing her craft from him, as well as Naruto and Konohamaru, as she has intentions of being Hokage someday. It's admirable as the village turned on her sinister clan back in the day but now, she wants to complete the redemption of her people her dad started.

With a boost from Sakura being her mom, fans have long known Sarada's a sleeping giant, which means her own chakra levels are higher than Sasuke's when he was her age. While she has noble intentions, she does know she is Sasuke's sword, so to speak, so when he's out being a Ranger on the outskirts of the village, Sarada is all business and no play. She's already leading Team 7, so figuratively, as she's enraged seeing her allies beaten brutally, it actually reminds us of when Sasuke was a weapon the likes of Orochimaru wielded.

The icing on the cake comes when she unleashes her dad's biggest and deadliest move, though: the Chidori. This "Lightning Blade" is Sasuke's greatest attack and, now, it's amazing to see her perfecting it as she rushes Boro at a supersonic speed, slicing him with the lightning strike to end Issue #42. We don't know the extent of the destruction but it seems to be exponentially high. We've never seen Sasuke do this much damage but again, it speaks to Sarada's nature and her prowess due to two powerful bloodlines combining. It's also poetic justice -- and a bit of revenge -- as Kara put Sasuke on the injury shelf following a near-fatal battle.

Naruto fights Sasuke in Naruto.

As for this Chidori, Sasuke perfected this under the watch of Kakashi, the former Hokage and his and Naruto's ex-teacher. He also picked up bits and pieces on how to improve it from his brother, Itachi, and now it seems he's passed the full knowledge of the jutsu down to his offspring. No surprise, either, given that the Uchihas love passing killer attacks down to their progenies. Seeing his kin using the Chidori like this is an apt way of handing off the mantle.

Boruto's perfected his dad's Rasengan with Kawaki; Mitsuki is even better at his snake techniques than Orochimaru was, and now, Sarada's intent to be the Uchiha of the shinobi world will speak volumes of for years to come. Once they get past Boro, it's pretty clear at this juncture that she's well on her way to fulfilling her dream of becoming Hokage.
