The film's script will be written by Skyler James and it will be produced by Sandberg and Lotta Losten through their production company Mångata, as well as BOOM! Studios’ Ross Richie and Stephen Christy.
Debuting in 2017, The Unsound follows the latest hire at St. Cascia Psychiatric Hospital, Ashli, whose first day on the job goes awry after a violent riot. To make matters worse, she soon discovers a hellish world full of monsters, black magic and sinister scientific experiments.
Directed by David F. Sandberg from a script by Skyler James, Netflix's The Unsound has no announced cast or release date.
