Warning: The following contains spoilers from Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett "Chapter 2: Tribes of Tatooine,” streaming now on Disney+.

Like The Mandalorian before it, The Book of Boba Fett has brought elements of the Star Wars Expanded Universe into live-action and restored several previously erased elements from the canon as it carves out its own space in that galaxy far, far away. As Boba Fett settles into his new role as the daimyo of Tatooine after violently overthrowing Bib Fortuna, he faces the consternation of Jabba the Hutt's family, who want to seize control of the late Hutt's old position of power for themselves. In the resulting standoff with Boba Fett, the Hutts unveil their personal enforcer, who not only is set to come to blows against the helmeted bounty hunter but also potentially sets up the live-action debut of a character from Star Wars' current comic book run.

In a tense showdown in Mos Espa, with Boba Fett and his righthand woman Fennec Shand facing off against an entourage of Hutts as they issue their demand to become Tatooine's new daimyo after their cousin Jabba, the Hutts' enforcer Black Krrsantan squares up to a defiant Fett. Ultimately, the Hutts and their intimidating Wookie decide to depart rather than engage in an open conflict for now, but it's clear that the Hutts are not done vying for the daimyo position, with Black Krrsantan eager to put his lethal skills to the test against the legendary gunslinger. And Black Krrsantan's live-action debut leaves the door open for one of his old associates, Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra.

Black Krrsantan was created by Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca in 2015's Star Wars: Darth Vader #1 as a black-furred Wookie bounty hunter hired by Vader to track down an operative secretly working for Emperor Palpatine. Following his work for Vader, Krrsantan was hired by Aphra to help her carry out a heist on an Imperial transport containing a small fortune it had seized from a dismantled crime syndicate. This heist would mark the beginning of Krrsantan's on-again/off-again partnership with Aphra, with Aphra in Krrsantan's debt while promising him to find the individuals that tortured him years ago.

Aphra, also created by Gillen and Larroca, made her debut in Darth Vader #3 as a morally complicated archaeologist who explored the seedier parts of the Star Wars Universe along with her killer droids BT-1 and 0-0-0. An instant fan-favorite character, Aphra received her own solo comic book series by December 2016 in addition to starring in an audiobook written by Sarah Kuhn, a prose short story written by Gillen and appearing a playable character in the 2017 mobile game Star Wars: Force Arena. With The Book of Boba Fett largely populated by scoundrels and illicit figures, Aphra would be right at home making her live-action debut here.

With Aphra's canonical appearances taking place within the timeline of the original Star Wars trilogy, it's unclear if she survived the fall of the Galactic Empire, but Krrsantan's prominent appearance in The Book of Boba Fett leaves the door open for the Wookie to reunite with his old associate. And if Boba Fett ends up killing Black Krrsantan, Doctor Aphra may want to have a word with the reformed bounty hunter for killing her old frenemy.

To see if Doctor Aphra appears, The Book of Boba Fett releases new episodes Wednesdays on Disney+.
