Bond's Latest Q Being Eyed For Spielberg's Robopocalypse

British actor Ben Whishaw might not be a household name right now, but give him a little time. The actor who starred in the U.K. series The Hour will be seen as the new Q in the upcoming James Bond film Skyfall as well as in the Tom Tykwer/Wachowski Cloud Atlas. Variety reports that he's now also rumored to be on the top of the casting list for Steven Spielberg's upcoming adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson's Robopocalypse.

The story follows a group of humans as they try to survive after the robots take over the world. Whishaw has yet to receive an official offer, but word is that he's wanted to play a hacker called Lurker. Chris Hemsworth and Anne Hathaway are in talks to star.

Written by Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods), Robopocalypse marks Spielberg's return to sci-fi after 2005's War of the Worlds and will be his next film after the upcoming Lincoln. The film is set to debut March 25, 2014.
