Boldly Buy Boardwalk with "MONOPOLY: Star Trek"

Official Press Release

Space may be the final frontier, but the newest MONOPOLY collector's edition boldly goes where no one has gone before. With MONOPOLY: Star Trek Continuum Collector's Edition, resistance is futile.

Star Trek fans will get a chance to travel through the Star Trek Continuum and explore generations of exciting Starfleet history. Players will buy, sell and trade the most memorable Star Trek locations that make up the Continuum, from founding Federation homeworlds such as Andoria and Vulcan to other memorable worlds including Bajor, Cardassia Prime and the New Founders' Homeworld. This quest enables all fans to experience the historic adventures of their favorite captains as they travel around the Galaxy exploring the worlds of Star Trek. Compete to own the entire Continuum!

Made by USAOPOLY under license from HASBRO and CBS Consumer Products, this one of a kind game board features all the historic locations from the Star Trek Continuum, including Argus Array, Cardassia Prime and Remus. Boardwalk and Park Place have been replaced by the United Federation of Planets Headquarters and the Starfleet Command. Players can take a voyage around the board as one of six collectible pewter tokens including:

§ Vulcan Harp

§ Phaser

§ Communicator

§ Klingon Blood Wine Goblet

§ Shuttlecraft

§ The Captain's Chair

Players will make their way around the customized game board, featuring noble images of past Starfleet captains like Kirk, Picard, Archer, Sisko and Janeway, buying up properties with specialized MONOPOLY money, featuring gold-pressed Latinum bars. Custom title deed cards feature historic Star Trek location data about all 22 properties including the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D, Klingon Bird-of-Prey, Romulan Warbird, and the U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656, which take the place of Railroads in this custom game. True MONOPOLY strategists will vie to improve their properties with Starships and Fleets, formerly Houses and Hotels. Travel the board at warp speed with optional custom Star Trek rules, or enjoy traditional MONOPOLY game play. Fans should be prepared to set their phasers to "fun" with the Star Trek Continuum Collector's Edition of MONOPOLY.

Star Trek fans and MONOPOLY fans alike will finally get to "live long and prosper" with the MONOPOLY: Star Trek Continuum Collector's Edition. This game will hit stores April 2009. The Star Trek Continuum Collector's Edition of MONOPOLY is a must-have for hardcore fans and casual Star Trek enthusiasts alike. The game is designed for ages 8 and older and will be available at specialty retailers nationwide including Barnes & Noble, Borders, JC Penney, Go the Game Store and Amazon.com.
