Bob's Burgers is ready for the big time; Fox has begun development on a big screen adventure for the animated series. Since its debut in 2011, the series has built a pretty devoted, diehard fanbase around the Belcher family, carrying it through eight seasons on FOX and an Emmy just this year for Outstanding Animated Program.

THR reports that a feature-length Bob's Burgers film is in development from series creator Loren Bouchard and Fox Animation as the studio plans to "redouble [its] family and animation efforts," according to Stacey Snider, head of Fox Film.

"We know the movie has to scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had, but it also has to work for all the good people who’ve never seen the show," explained Bouchard. "We also know it has to fill every inch of the screen with the colors and the sounds and the ever-so-slightly greasy texture of the world of Bob’s — but most of all it has to take our characters on an epic adventure. In other words, it has to be the best movie ever made. But no pressure, right?!"
