The second season of The Mandalorian may not be the only time fans get to watch Temuera Morrison portray the Star Wars bounty hunter Boba Fett on the Disney+ series.

According to The Direct, Boba Fett will have a much larger role in the third season of the Disney+ original Star Wars series. While the third season is in early development and Season 2 is set to premiere this fall, plans are reportedly in motion to expand Boba Fett's story across multiple seasons.

Morrison portrayed Jango Fett, Boba Fett's "father," in 2002's Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. The movie featured the Republic using Jango's genetic template to create its clone army of soldiers, which would later be the focus of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series. It is not yet known how Boba Fett will factor into The Mandalorian Season 2, but he is reported to have a small role.

Fans speculated that the end of Season 1's "The Gunslinger" teased Boba Fett's introduction, when an unknown figure wearing spurs walked upon the lifeless body of Ming-Na Wen's Fennec Shand, who is also slated to return for Season 2.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. Season 1 is available now on Disney+, with Season 2 premiering in October.
