Representatives for Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk have confirmed that the actor is in stable condition and recovering after suffering a "heart-related incident" on the show's set.

Yesterday, it was reported that Odenkirk had collapsed while filming the sixth and final season of the Breaking Bad spinoff in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Crew members rushed to Odenkirk's side and immediately called an ambulance, with paramedics arriving on the scene at about 11:34 a.m. The 58-year-old actor was quickly transported to a nearby hospital to undergo treatment. At the time, however, no further details regarding the nature of Odenkirk's collapse or his condition were available to the public.

Odenkirk's reps provided an update this afternoon. "We can confirm Bob is in stable condition after experiencing a heart-related incident," they said. "He and his family would like to express gratitude for the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, as well as his cast, crew and producers who have stayed by his side. The Odenkirks would also like to thank everyone for the outpouring of well wishes and ask for their privacy at this time as Bob works on his recovery."

As Odenkirk's reps imply, prior to this update, the actor's friends, colleagues and fans took to social media to show their support. One such individual was Odenkirk's former Breaking Bad co-star Bryan Cranston. "Today I woke up to news that has made me anxious all morning," Cranston wrote on Instagram. "My friend, Bob Odenkirk collapsed last night on the set of Better Call Saul... Please take a moment in your day today to think about him and send positive thoughts and prayers his way, thank you."

Per The Hollywood Reporter, sources say that, at the time of the incident, production on Better Call Saul Season 6 was just over halfway complete. Production on the show remains halted as the cast and crew prioritize Odenkirk's health. AMC and Sony Pictures Television have yet to issue an official statement on the matter.

An actor, writer, comedian and more, Odenkirk is known for his work on Saturday Night Live, having written for the show and appeared on-screen in minor roles in the late '80s and early '90s. Odenkirk went on to partner with David Cross to create Mr. Show, which ran for four seasons on HBO from 1995 to 1998.

Odenkirk landed what is arguably his most well-known role in 2009, when he joined the cast of Breaking Bad Season 2 as criminal lawyer Saul Goodman (real name Jimmy McGill). Odenkirk's Saul went on to become a major player in Breaking Bad throughout the remainder of its acclaimed five-season run. In 2015, Odenkirk reprised his role as Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman for Better Call Saul, a spinoff/prequel series set prior to the events of Breaking Bad. Better Call Saul is currently five seasons into its run on AMC, with Season 6 slated to serve as its grand finale. Odenkirk also recently starred in the action film Nobody, which released in theaters earlier this year.
