Baby Yoda has been the breakout star of Disney+'s The Mandalorian series. The character has been an Internet hit, appearing on all sorts of memes. There will even be Baby Yoda Build-a-Bear merchandise coming soon, asserting the small green alien's place as a pop culture phenomenon.

Despite the world's obsession with him, not much is known about the character. His name isn't even actually Baby Yoda --it's just "The Child" on The Mandalorian for now. Fans have speculated that he's a reincarnation of Yoda, but The Mandalorian creator, Jon Favreu, recently debunked that theory. As The Mandalorian gears up for Season 2, maybe fans will get to know more about the little green alien that's wormed his way into their hearts.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte. The entire first season is available to stream now on Disney+.
