The Shape takes center stage in the terrifying new teaser for the upcoming Halloween revival. In advance of Friday's release of the first trailer for the latest installment in the slasher series, Blumhouse Productions has released a short clip showcasing the iconic mask worn by Halloween killer Michael Myers. "You don't believe in the Boogeyman. You should," remarks series scream queen Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) in the teaser before horrifying sounds of bloody murder lead into the classic John Carpenter score promising the trailer's release in two days.

The trailer tease comes one day after Blumhouse debuted the first official photos from the Halloween set revealing Strode confronting Myers once again. New plot details accompanying the images confirm that the film will ignore the events of all the Halloween sequels, leaving only the original 1978 film as canon.

Debuting on October 19, the latest Halloween is directed by David Gordon Green, from a script written with Danny McBride and Jeff Fradley. It stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak with Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney sharing the role of masked killer Michael Myers.
