Bloody 'Attack on Titan' game trailer trumpets U.S. release date

Koei Tecmo has debuted a trailer announcing the Attack on Titan video game will arrive Aug. 30 in North America on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, PS Vita and Steam.

The game will drop four days earlier across Europe, where it's called A.O.T.: Wings of Freedom. Developed by Omega Force, the studio behind the Dynasty Wars series, the game launched in February in Japan.

Drawing from the first season of the hit anime, itself based on the bestselling manga by Hajime Isayama, the game allows players to control characters ranging from Eren and Mikasa to Levi and Annie in brutal fights against the giants. Better still, they can also play as a certain Titan.
