While Bloodshot may have not been a huge hit with audiences or critics upon its theatrical release, Sony has released the opening to the Valiant Entertainment adaptation online to let fans decide for themselves.

The first nine minutes of the superhero film are available to stream online, while Sony has made the whole film available to purchase digitally as movie theaters around the world shutter due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Bloodshot currently holds a meager 29% professional critics' score on review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes. Opening as coronavirus concerns swept the globe, the film earned $9.3 million at the domestic box office its first weekend.

Based on the Valiant Entertainment superhero created by Bob Layton, Kevin VanHook and Don Perlin, Bloodshot stars Vin Diesel as a man who is resurrected through nanotechnology to become the ultimate killing machine.

Directed by Dave Wilson (VFX Supervisor for Avengers: Age of Ultron) with a script by Eric Heisserer (Arrival) and Jeff Wadlow (Truth or Dare), Bloodshot stars Vin Diesel, Guy Pearce and Toby Kebbell. The film is in theaters now and available for purchase on digital HD.
