Bloodshot follows soldier Ray Garrison, who is killed by a mercenary following a mission in Iraq. He is injected with nanites that allow him to tap into computer systems across the world and grant him superhuman strength and a regenerative healing factor. Bloodshot debuted on March 13, 2020m right before the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic shuttered theaters across the world. Sony Pictures was able to pivot to a home video release, which led to the top spot on video on demand services.

DMG Entertainment creative head and filmmaker Dan Mintz confirmed that a Bloodshot sequel is in the works, with Vin Diesel slated to reprise his role as the nanite-powered super-soldier. Valiant is also developing a film based on Harbinger with Original Films and Paramount Pictures. Directed by Justin Tipping, Harbinger will feature a group of outcast teens who discover their superhuman abilities and band together.

Directed by Dave Wilson from a script by Eric Heisserer and Jeff Wadlow, Bloodshot stars Vin Diesel, Guy Pearce and Toby Kebbell.
