The first trailer for Sony Pictures and Valiant Entertainment's Bloodshot will arrive tomorrow.

Producer Dinesh Shamdasani announced the first trailer would be released on Monday, October 21, with a short clip of Vin Diesel's Raymond Garrison/Bloodshot getting shot in the face. The brutal clip slows down after a large chunk of Garrison's face comes off, hinting at the nanites that will help him heal from grievous injuries. The exact time the trailer will be released isn't known at this time.

The Bloodshot comic follows an amnesiac soldier named Raymond Garrison who can rapidly heal and shapeshift (thanks to nanites in his blood) on a quest for vengeance. The character was originally created by Kevin VanHook, Don Perlin and Bob Layton and first appeared in 1992's Eternal Warrior #4.

Bloodshot was originally intended to kick off a shared cinematic universe based around Valiant Entertainment characters, with a movie based off Harbinger also in development. However, Harbinger eventually moved from Sony Pictures to Paramount Pictures, putting the future of that shared universe in jeopardy.

Directed by Dave Wilson (VFX Supervisor for Avengers: Age of Ultron) with a script by Eric Heisserer (Arrival) and Jeff Wadlow (Truth or Dare), Bloodshot stars Vin Diesel, Guy Pearce and Toby Kebbell. The film is slated to arrive on February 21, 2020.
