While Bloodborne players still wait for a 60fps upgrade, a fan gave the game a makeover with a Samurai Jack-style piece of animation.Uploaded to Twitter by artist Anthony Berardo, the small montage of animation re-imagines Bloodborne's world of Yharnam as if it were an animated series. Filled with iconic characters and monsters from the game, the art style in particular bears resemblance to series such as Samurai Jack. This is later confirmed in the credits of the animation that state that the works of Genndy Tartakovsky were the inspiration for the piece.RELATED: Ghost of Tsushima: How to Unlock Iki Island's Secret PlayStation-Inspired Armor Sets

Tartakovsky is most well-known for a variety of shows on Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, including Dexter's Laboratory and The Powerpuff Girls. More relevant to Berardo's animation are Tartakovsky's series Samurai Jack and Star Wars: Clone Wars, which similarly include weapon-based combat.

While the animation converts Bloodborne's art style into something more cartoonish, it does not shy away from the dark and gruesome imagery that the Soulslike game is known for. The Hunter's weapon can still be seen covered in uncensored blood, and many of the creatures such as the Cleric Beast and Vicar Amelia still look particularly monstrous.

The cosmic horror designs of the game come from the mind of Hidetaka Miyazaki, who is also referenced as an inspiration in the credits. Miyazaki himself took inspiration from the works of H. P. Lovecraft when designing Yharnam and The Hunters Nightmare, filling the game with maddening and near-incomprehensible beings. One such creature is the Moon Presence, the final boss of the game, which was included by Berardo in their animation at around the 10-second mark.

If you want to check out the source material behind this slick animation, you can find Bloodborne on PlayStation 4. Rumors have circulated for months that the game was coming to PlayStation 5 and PC but at the time of writing, developer FromSoftwae has yet to confirm any kind of port.
