Unfortunately, not all anime are capable of arriving at a satisfying ending point. Due to early cancellations, a series' finale just isn't on the cards but for the lucky few who are able to draw in enough of a fan base to sustain it to the end, viewers are usually rewarded with the right sendoff. When the Bleach anime was canceled abruptly, leaving fans in total shock, their only outlet to see their favorite anime was through its continuation in manga form.

Thankfully, the Bleach anime has returned from the dead and will adapt the much-anticipated The Thousand-Year Blood War arc. The adaptation will highlight various Quincies, some of which are more exciting than others. So, let's dive in and see which are the most anticipated and the blandest.

10 Anticipated: Jugram Haschwalth

jugram haschwalth

Haschwalth is a great example of a zealot with his unflinching loyalty to his leader Yhwach. When Uryū Ishida was named as Yhwach's successor, Haschwalth was one of the few Quincies who was not outraged by the decision. Instead, he accepted Yhwach's decision without flinching and expected others to do the same.

A firm believer in the balance, Haschwalth will not attack a helpless enemy, believing that doing so would negatively affect the balance and bring about immediate misfortune. A Quincy of great power, Haschwalth is confident in his abilities and isn't afraid to fight the strongest Shinigami.

9 Bland: Lille Barro

Lille Barro looking smug in the manga

Similar to Jugram Haschwalth, Lille Barro is a Quincy who has the utmost confidence in Yhwach. This belief is unwavering even against the greatest of odds. In Barro's mind, the difference between victory and defeat can be summed up by who reacts the fastest in battle.

Of course, this isn't an illogical position to take but it is one that doesn't account for other things like training and numbers. To say Barro has a chip on his shoulder is a bit of an understatement as the Quincy believes himself to be Yhwach's masterpiece.

8 Anticipated: Pernida Parnkgjas

Parnkgjas definitely had one of the more interesting backstories in the history of Bleach. As it is the Soul King's left hand. Since not very many hands become animated Quincies, Parnkgjas's presence is one of the more unique character arcs.

With Parnkgjas being the left hand of the single most powerful entity in Soul Society, it isn't shocking that it can pack a punch. Its belief in the superiority of its own powers, makes Parnkgjas appear arrogant and its ability to take on anyone no matter their size or power is the very definition of cocky.

7 Bland: Hubert

Hubert is the very definition of a bland character. He is a young, upbeat character who has the makings of a bureaucrat. Nothing about Hubert stands out as even his confidence in his own abilities is too weak to even be considered as arrogant.

Even though Hubert has the buttoned-down look of a soldier just looking for someone to be out of order so he can write them up, he doesn't always follow the orders given. In fact, he is one of the few Quincies willing to break Yhwach's direct order for them to not fight among themselves.

6 Anticipated: Askin Nakk Le Vaar

Askin is one of the more powerful Quincies in the Wandenreich, which is evident by his place in the specialized corps of  Yhwach's Schutzstaffel. Askin is the complete opposite of Hubert, in that he is eccentric and spontaneous in all of his actions, making him one of the more unpredictable Quincies under Yhwach's command.

Askin is a strategist by heart, he likes to fight his enemies on his own terms by trying to goad them into following him into a trap. Cynical by nature, Askin loves putting his two cents into matters that don't concern him.

5 Bland: Äs Nödt

The problem with some people being at the top is that they are constantly looking down at others. Äs Nödt directly suffers from his own success and is a victim of his own folly. His obsession with what he considers rational and irrational fear makes him a wannabe psychologist with a chip on his shoulders.

He cares little for his comrades and isn't above berating them for their failures. Äs Nödt's twisted sense of humor along with his maniacal laughter makes him either one of the more laughable characters or one of the more ominous.

4 Anticipated: Bambietta Basterbine

Some people just like to watch the world burn and to a certain degree, this characteristic makes them quite interesting. These types of individuals don't care about giving long lectures over their obsessions nor do they try to find logic in their behavior.

Bambietta Basterbine falls under this category as she is chaos for chaos sake. She enjoys the thrill of battle, while mercilessly cutting down her enemies. Basterbine's fear of being abandoned causes her to act quite irrationally as she isn't afraid to level a city just to find her allies.

3 Bland: Cang Du

Each Sternritter seems to have a code or view of the world that not only makes them who they are but causes them to be highly volatile and even nihilistic in the way they live their lives. Cang Du's stoic demeanor and his self-destructive tendencies make him a threat to even his allies.

His emotionless attitude isn't compelling nor is it interesting in the least bit. Cang Du's view that everything that exists together in life should exist together in death is a train of thought that can't even be utilized.

2 Anticipated: Bazz-B

How total opposites like Bazz-B and Cang Du work together is one of life's great mysteries. Bazz-B is one of the more sadistic Sternritter's in Yhwach's army. Merciless by nature, Bazz-B is a juggernaut on the battlefield. He doesn't hide behind his sarcasm, he's just made of it. It is who he is as a Quincy and that is what makes him so unique.

Even though he is known to lose control of his temper to the point of murdering innocents, he still has enough sense to know who he should be subservient to.

1 Bland: Quilge Opie

Some people just do not like to have to repeat themselves. Then there are people like Quilge Opie who hate it so much, they are willing to commit acts of mass murder as a way to make sure everyone hears what they have to say.

It isn't that Opie is a boring character, it is just that out of all the Sternritter there seems to be an overabundance of characters with this same personality trait. Plus, the very idea that a minion has an authoritative side just seems a bit silly in the grand scheme of things.
