All kinds of villains populate the story of Bleach, and the shonen hero Ichigo Kurosaki must face them and win if he wants to protect his friends, like he swore to do. For example, Ichigo has a bitter feud with Grimmjow Jaegerjaques, and later, he takes on and finally defeats Ulquiorra Schiffer, Sosuke Aizen's right-hand man.
What is Ulquiorra like? He is an Arrancar, one of the strongest, and he has incredible speed, swordsmanship, magical attacks and intelligence. He is also ruthless, cold, calculating, arrogant and intimidating, often using cruel words to demoralize his enemies. He is often Aizen's #1 minion, and in the anime world at large, there are other anime characters who are roughly similar to him. Who might they be?
10 Princess Azula (Avatar: The Last Airbender)
Princess Azula of the Fire Nation is a "dragon," a storytelling term for a powerful character who is a direct subordinate of the primary villain; in this case, Fire Lord Ozai. This is similar to how Ulquiorra is the main minion of Sosuke Aizen.
Like Ulquiorra, Azula is vicious and remorseless, and she is quick to scorn people whom she considers weak and torment them with her firebending and words alike. She remains villainous right to the end, when she fought her brother Zuko in an Agni Kai duel.
9 Zeldris (The Seven Deadly Sins)
Zeldris is also the direct minion of a powerful villain, namely, the Demon King himself. Zeldris is the brother of Meliodas, the blond hero, and he has strength to rival that of Meliodas' own. And, of course, Zeldris is ruthless, arrogant and conceited about his own power.
Some villains in Seven Deadly Sins have a change of heart, such as Drole and Gloxina, but others are dedicated to the path of wickedness, and that certainly includes Zeldris, who is desperate to keep the Ten Commandments together and prevent them from defecting to the heroes' side.
8 As Nodt (Bleach)
Back in the Bleach universe, there is another villain who is remarkably similar to Ulquiorra: As Nodt, one of the mighty Sternritter Quincy who fight for Yhwach, the Quincy king. As Nodt is the master of fear, and he uses his powers and taunting words to rapidly demoralize his enemies.
As Nodt is cool, confident and cruel like Ulquiorra, stealing Captain Byakuya Kuchiki's bankai and very nearly killing him with it. Later, As Nodt took great pleasure in tormenting Rukia with his fear effects, and he might have finished her if Byakuya hadn't intervened.
7 Tatara (Tokyo Goul)
Tatara was a ghoul and a powerful member of the Aogiri Tree terrorist organization, serving under the notorious One-Eyed King. Tatara was cruel and pitiless, and the first time he met Ken Kaneki, he thrust his arm clear through Ken just to test him. Even most other ghouls wouldn't go that far.
In addition, Tatara was calm, confident and arrogant, as a mighty ghoul and a high-ranking member of the Aogiri Tree. That makes him rather similar to Ulquiorra, and interestingly enough, Ulquiorra also likes to punch holes into his enemies with his hands.
6 Askeladd (Vinland Saga)
Askeladd the Viking does have some differences with Ulquiorra; for example, he is fiercely protective of the Welsh people, and is motivated to free the world of Vikings for their sake. Ulquiorra, meanwhile, only cares about himself and Aizen.
Otherwise, though, some parallels can be drawn between the two characters. Askeladd is also cunning, ruthless and remorseless, and he isn't too quick to jump into an iffy situation, which sets him apart from other Vikings. He is calculating and patient, and he almost thinks like an assassin, like Ulquiorra.
5 Diavolo (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)
Diavolo, the mob boss in charge of the Passione Gang, is a bit on the paranoid side. He will go to any lengths to protect his identity and his criminal empire, and he's not above sending ruthless assassinsto get the job done. Failing that, he'll assassinate his enemies in person.
All that is clearly reminiscent of Ulquiorra Schiffer, and Diavolo is also confident to the point of arrogant and likes to talk down to his helpless opponents (such as Bruno Bucciarati) before finishing them off with a single strike.
4 Dabi (My Hero Academia)
Like Ulquiorra, Dabi the villain belongs to an organization of bad guys; in this case, the League of Villains, to mirror the Espadas. Dabi is among the most powerful villains, having an intense Quirk that can emit blue flames to cremate his enemies.
Just like Ulquiorra, Dabi is cool-headed, ruthless and pitiless, and he's not the type to act before thinking, either. Dabi is a deadly combination of intense flames, smart thinking and a cool attitude, posing a serious threat to pro heroes everywhere.
3 Itachi Uchiha (Naruto)
Itachi Uchiha, the brother of Sasuke Uchiha, is quite similar to Ulquiora, especially during his earlier appearances. He too belongs to the main villainous organization, in this case, the Akatsuki. He wandered the lands with Kisame Hoshigaki, hunting any and all jinchuriki to further the Akatsuki cause.
In battle, Itachi is calculating and quick-thinking, like any good ninja would be, and he is confident and cool-headed, even when he's tearing his enemies apart. He's not above using cruel words and taunts to demoralize his enemies, either.
2 Pride (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)
Pride the homunculus, as the name suggests, is the epitome of arrogance and overconfidence, being the most powerful minion that Father created. Pride's powers are based on shadows, and his shadowy body can morph into any shape and extend its sharp tentacles anywhere.
Often, Pride serves as a spy and assassin for Father, a similar role that Aizen assigned to Ulquiorra. Pride also likes to talk down to his enemies and degrade them during combat, and he nearly always backs it up with his terrifying powers. He's all bark and bite.
1 Levi Ackerman (Attack On Titan)
Levi Ackerman isn't exactly a villain, but that's one of the few things that sets him apart from Ulquiorra Schiffer. Levi is slim and petite but extremely skilled, and he makes no apology for his ruthlesss ways in combat, nor does he suffer fools or weaklings. If anyone can't keep up, they'll get a boot to the face.
Levi is quick and skilled with the blade, like Ulquiorra, and he has a stern, murderous look on his face as he slashes Titans apart in rapid succession. He's not the type to boast; he lets his actions do the talking, and his reputation is spread far and wide.
