Although Tite Kubo's enormously popular manga series Bleach concluded in 2016, the anime adaptation will continue by bringing two popular storylines to animation as early as this year.The latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump confirmed that the epic "Thousand Year Blood War" storyline will be adapted for the anime, which had concluded in 2018 before adapting the manga series' climactic story arc. The anime is slated to return for its final arc sometime next year, setting up Ichigo Kurosaki and his fellow Soul Reapers for a final confrontation against the sinister Yhwach for the fate of the Soul Society.RELATED: How Tite Kubo’s Burn The Witch Manga Ties into Bleach

Additionally, Kubo's spinoff story Bleach: Burn the Witch will be serialized in manga form by Shonen Jump this summer. It will receive its own anime adaptation later this fall. The spinoff is set in the same world as the original series and follows a coven of witches that battle supernatural threats on behalf of the Soul Reapers.

Additional details about the two anime adaptations will be released during a 20th anniversary presentation for the popular franchise. Featuring Kubo himself, the event is slated for March 21 and will be broadcast online live through YouTube and Twitter.
