Hot of the announcement that it's release has been pushed ahead three months, the "Blade Runner" sequel has now cast "Knock Knock" star Ana de Armas in an unnamed role.

According to Variety, de Armas has been tapped to star alongside Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling and Robin Wright, in the follow-up to Ridley Scott's 1982 sci-fi classic.

"Sicario" helmer Denis Villeneuve is directing, from a script by the original's co-writer, Hampton Fancher, and Michael Green, with a story by Fancher and Scott. The sequel is reportedly set decades after the original, which took place in a dystopian 2019.

Principal photography for the "Blade Runner" sequel is set to begin in July, under the lens of cinematographer Roger Deakins ("Skyfall"). The film is slated for an October 6, 2017 release.
