The "Blade Runner" sequel's cast just grew by one more. According to Variety, "Suicide Squad" star Jared Leto has officially joined the film. However, no official details about the role have been released.

In addition to "Suicide Squad," Leto has appeared in "Requiem for a Dream," "American Psycho" and "Fight Club."

Directed by Denis Villeneuve (“Sicario,” “Prisoners”) and produced by Alcon Entertainment, the film is set several decades after the events of Ridley Scott’s 1982 sci-fi classic, with Harrison Ford reprising his role as Rick Deckard. He’s joined by Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright and Dave Bautista.

Scott will executive produce the film, which features a script by Michael Green and “Blade Runner” screenwriter Hampton Fancher.

Production is set to begin in July. “Blade Runner 2″ arrives in theaters on Oct. 6, 2017.
