The producers of the "Blade Runner" sequel are apparently so confident in their film that they're release it three months early.
Warner Bros. and Alcon Entertainment announced today that "Blade Runner 2" will arrive in theaters Oct. 6, 2017, instead of the previously announced Jan. 12, 2018.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve (“Sicario,” “Prisoners”), the film is set several decades after the events of Ridley Scott’s 1982 sci-fi classic, with Harrison Ford reprising his role as Rick Deckard. He's joined by Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright and Dave Bautista.
Scott will executive produce the film, which features a script by Michael Green and “Blade Runner” screenwriter Hampton Fancher.
Production is set to begin in July.
