The top of the poster reads, "His path is paved in blood," with the film's title running down the center. Manji stands in front of the rising sun with multiple arrows sticking out of his body. Luckily he's immortal, so the arrows are more of a nuisance than deadly.

Manji, a highly skilled samurai, becomes cursed with immortality after a legendary battle. Haunted by the brutal murder of his sister, Manji knows that only fighting evil will regain his soul. He promises to help a young girl named Rin avenge her parents, who were killed by a group of master swordsmen led by ruthless warrior Anotsu. The mission will change Manji in ways he could never imagine...

Arriving Nov. 3, Blade of the Immortal is the 100th film from director Takashi Miike (Audition, Ichi the Killer), and is based on the original comic by Hiroaki Samura. The film stars Takuya Kimura, Hana Sugisaki, Sôta Fukushi, Ebizô Ichikawa, Min Tanaka and Tsutomu Yamazaki.
