This year is poised to become a banner one for longtime Marvel villain Taskmaster, with the character appearing in May's Black Widow and receiving his own comic book series.

Ahead of the release of its advance solicitation information for titles going on sale April 2020, Marvel Comics has released details about the upcoming Taskmaster series, written by Jed MacKay and illustrated by Alessandro Vitti. The series opens with the skilled mercenary framed for the murder of Maria Hill and hunted by the Marvel Universe's espionage community. The cover, illustrated by Valerio Giangiordano, and solicit info are below.

Created by David Michelinie and George Perez in 1980's Avengers #195, Taskmaster possesses the uncanny ability to mimic the moves of anyone he witnesses, including skilled fighters like Captain America. The character has since become a bit of an antihero, though he has relapsed into villainy on several occasions.
