When Marvel Studios debuted Black Widow's surprising new look for Avengers: Infinity War, many were initially taken aback by the hero's new blonde locks. However, thanks to concept artist Andy Park, we at least now that the original design for the film saw Natasha sporting her trademark red locks.Park, who works as the Senior Director of Visual Development for Marvel Studios, unveiled his "approved" concept design for Black Widow in Avengers: Infinity War, and there were noticeably some minor differences from what made it into the actual film. While Widow still went on to sport her new black and green costuming in the film, the oversized red scarf shown in Park's design was abandoned, as was Natasha's red hair. Park also took a moment to poke fun at the never-ending guessing game of the title for Avengers 4, adding "I can’t wait for you all to see her in Avengers: Whatever The Next Title Is!"

Of course, while we don't know much about the next Avengers film, which will see Scarlett Johansson return as Black Widow, we do know that the character will at least say goodbye to the blonde hair in favor of her traditional red tresses thanks to some unofficial promotional images.

Along with returning for Avengers 4, Johansson is set to headline her first ever solo film as Black Widow in the Cate Shortland directed feature. Production is expected to kick off early next year for a rumored 2020 release.

Avengers: Infinity War is available to own on digital and DVD and Blu-Ray now, while Avengers 4 is slated to hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
