While Marvel Studios have kept its post-Avengers 4 plans under wraps, new rumors put release dates for its next two projects, a Black Widow solo prequel and a film for the cosmic superheroes The Eternals for 2020.
After dropping plans for an MCU film to be released on July 31, 2020, the studio is rumored to have scheduled Black Widow for release on May 1, 2020 while The Eternals is expected to open later that year on November 6, 2020.
This places both upcoming films to begin principal photography next year to meet these targeted release dates while the third dropped date is reportedly the original planned release date for Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3.
Chloe Zhao had signed on to direct The Eternals last month while Black Widow signed Cate Shortland to helm the project this past July.
The Black Widow prequel reportedly takes place before the character's debut in 2010's Iron Man 2 as she adjusts to life outside of the Soviet Union. The production is rumored to be scouting for filming locations in Croatia for next year.
The Eternals will follow the cosmic race of the same name as the titular ensemble takes on their longtime foes the Deviants.
