Guardians of the Galaxy star and Drax the Destroyer actor Dave Bautista weighed in on Scarlett Johansson's lawsuit against Disney over the theater/streaming release of Black Widow.

"Told em they should've made a [Drax] movie but noooooo!" Bautista tweeted, along with an article regarding the lawsuit.

While Bautista appears to be joking, it's unclear at whose expense. The actor has been pushing for a Drax solo movie for a number of years but also recently suggested Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be his last Marvel Studios project.

As for Black Widow, it was revealed on July 29 that Johansson was suing The Walt Disney Company for releasing the film in both theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access, effectively kneecapping the $50 million+ she was supposed to receive from a strict theatrical release. "Disney intentionally induced Marvel's breach of the agreement, without justification, in order to prevent Ms. Johansson from realizing the full benefit of her bargain with Marvel," the suit claimed.

Disney didn't waste time firing back. "There is no merit whatsoever to this filing," the company responded. "The lawsuit is especially sad and distressing in its callous disregard for the horrific and prolonged global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic." Disney also noted, "the release of Black Widow on Disney+ with Premier Access has significantly enhanced [Johansson's] ability to earn additional compensation on top of the $20M she has received to date."

In the time since then, a new report has surfaced claiming Marvel Studios President/Marvel Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige "pressured Disney against the day and date plan for Black Widow, preferring the exclusivity of the big screen and not wanting to disturb his star. Then, when things got ugly, the movie began to fail and Johansson's team threatened to litigate, he wanted Disney to fix things with her."

Black Widow is now in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access.
