Ever since Scarlett Johansson put on the Black Widow outfit, her popularity has skyrocketed. Even for staunch comic fans, her role was often attached to the Avengers or a love interest for Daredevil, with little room for her own personal growth. She didn't catch her own solo series until the MCU took off.

Now she's getting her own movie and has had more than a few successful forays into solo comics. The character has never been more popular than she is now, explaining the surplus of cosplays we've been seeing of late. Speaking of which, we're scoping out the best Black Widow cosplays we've seen so far. Scroll down to join us!

10 Endgame

Sara decided to go with the Avengers: Endgame hairstyle and color, and to say it suits her is an understatement. While it isn't the iconic red that Natasha often sports, it's a nice easter egg to the Black Widow movie (intentional or not). It combines the hair colors of both widows into one, creating a style that looks rather nice. The rest of the outfit looks like something straight off the movie set as well, looking less like a catsuit and more like tactical gear.

9 Batons

Widow's batons were a nice addition to the character on the big screen, giving her something unique and nonlethal to fight with. While we can't see them fully here, just having them on Megan's back is a cool look, making her seem prepared for a fight at a moment's notice. The rest of the outfit has a more classic look to it, purely leather with her logo on the belt buckle and the emblem for S.H.I.E.L.D on her arms. The shade of red she chose for her hair is perfect as well.

8 Holstered

That look she has is perfect for Black Widow during a meeting she doesn't want to be at, listening to Fury or Steve drone on about stuff she doesn't care about. The fact her arms are crossed only adds to that fact, making it well known that she just wants to get to work.

Having two guns holstered on her thigh only further drives that point home. The look, in general, is totally great, and evokes precisely what the cosplayer was shooting for.

7 Locked And Loaded

Danielle is the first cosplay to be armed and ready, looking like she's crouched over a downed foe, asking them one last time what they know, her eyes telling you all you need to know about if she'll shoot or not. While it's a cool visual, it isn't the best part of the picture by any means. She's the first and one of the few cosplayers that get Widow's gauntlets right. They are a little gaudy, but so are the ones from the comics, needing to be big enough to fire out her Widow's Bite among other things.

6 True Love

Love doesn't always need to be ideally romantic, though Hawkeye and Widow have felt plenty of that in the comics, mostly on Clint's side of things. In the MCU their love was more of kinship, something you feel for a best friend, the person you'd die for if you had to. It led to one of the better moments in Endgame and is captured really well in this photo. You can see the gravity of the situation from the looks in their eyes as well as the way their hands are clasped.

5 Survivor

Black Widow's always been a survivor, one that finds a way to make it out of any situation, no matter the odds. It's what she was trained to do in the Red Room, after all. Himiyy does a great job with that here with the way she's positioned on the ground, gun drawn and ready to fire.

She has a great backdrop of burning wreckage behind her, a menagerie of cars piled up on top of each other. It's truly the perfect way to capture the entire essence of the character.

4 Over The Horizon

Rolyatistaylor is one of the mainstays on these lists, if she's done a cosplay of the character, there's little doubt it will make it onto the list. It's for a good reason, as their accuracy is impeccable. Take the picture above as an example, her hair color matches Natasha's to a tee. The rest of the cosplay is top-notch as well, from the belt having pouches and devices on it to the slender yet noticeable wrist cuffs. Nothing about it seems rushed or lazy, always crafted with care.

3 Over The Shoulder

The over-the-shoulder pose is a mainstay for any female character, be it comics, anime, or even a live-action television show. Vickeytey manages to make it less objectifying and more badass. From the way her fists are clenched to a look that could send daggers your way, you can tell she could kick your ass if you ever tried anything. The shortness of her hair works so much better with Widow cosplays, fitting her personality better than the longer do does.

2 The Pose

This has become an almost iconic pose for the character thanks to Scarlett Johansson in Iron Man 2, her portrayal being one of the few redeeming things about that movie. As with the first image on the list, Charliearly's cosplay is a little more tactical looking than others, outfitted in a way that you could believe she was there to kick ass and chew bubble gum, with nothing other than her bare heads no less. Everything about the look feels natural, even the hair.

1 Dolled Up

More than anyone else of the list, Sequoia truly evokes Black Widow's more feminine wiles with this incredible cosplay and pose. From the dark lipstick, eyeliner, and lack of any blemish on her skin, you could see her sweet-talking a target until he let his guard down before moving to strike. She is, after all, a spy and not a contract-killer, and has more than one method at her disposal when it comes to getting the information she needs.
