Marvel's film schedule will undergo a major overhaul, with Black Widow being pushed back from its last announced release date of Nov. 6 all the way to May 7, 2021.

This will cause Marvel's other films, Eternals and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, to move as well. Eternals will now be released on Nov. 5, 2021, while Shang-Chi is set for July 9, 2021.

Before the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic hit, Black Widow was meant to be released on May 1 of 2020, which makes its new date a full year later than anticipated.

Eternals has also seen a number of adjustments to its release date, with the last announcement putting it at Feb. 12, 2021. Although it was originally meant to be released before Shang-Chi, current placement in November of 2021 puts it behind the other film. Shang-Chi was planned for the slot that Black Widow will now occupy, May 7, 2021, and it is now in July of 2021.

Directed by Cate Shortland, Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, O-T Fagbenle as Rick Mason and Rachel Weisz. The film is currently planned to arrive in theaters May 7, 2021.
