Isn't it always the way? You hire someone to help you achieve your dream of producing a movie, and when you succeed, you sue them for not making you millions of dollars. Or, at least, that's what's happened with Black Swan producer Rick Schwartz.
Schwartz's company Oversight LLC is suing its former president, Aaron Kaufman, for "gross lapses in judgment" that cost the company an estimated "millions of dollars" and, more importantly, a producer's credit on Darren Aronofsky's critically-acclaimed new movie. Schwartz is credited as an executive producer, but is nonetheless suing Kaufman for what the company claims being "knowledgeable about the financing of motion pictures when he was not." For his part, Kaufman claims that Schwartz was unable to produce any movies before his involvement with the company. The suit will go to court next year.
