Regarding the identity of a new actor donning the black suit in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, actor Lupita Nyong'o gave fans little to work with in terms of speculation.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter after her appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, the Nakia actor shared a bit about the process of moving forth with the series without Chadwick Boseman and various rumors surrounding the new Black Panther mantle-holder. The trailer for Wakdanda Forever, featuring a mash-up of a cover of Bob Marley's "No Woman No Cry" (sung by Nigerian artist Tems) and Kendrick Lamar's "Alright," ends on a shot of an unknown character extending the claws of the Black Panther suit. When asked about the next iteration of the Wakandan hero, Nyong'o offered a coy response: "Don’t you just love a good secret?"

Letitia Wright also faced the same question, as several fans believed it looked like her in the final shot, which revealed someone in a black and gold Black Panther suit facing an unseen, or edited-out, threat. When questioned by a reporter whether that might be her in the suit, Wright acted as if she'd never seen the footage and had no idea what he was implying. "I don't know what you're talking about," said Wright. "But November 11, you get your ticket."

Alongside the mystery of who will take up the mantle after the late Boseman's T'Challa, this addition to the series will see a slew of new heroes enter the picture; actors Tenoch Huerta and Dominique Thorne will portray Namor the Sub-Mariner and Ironheart respectively. With the announcement of the MCU's Phase 5 at SDCC, it was also revealed that Ironheart, aka Riri Williams, will receive a Disney+ series of her own, set to be released in the fall of 2023.

Get Out and Nope actor Daniel Kaluuya will not be reprising his role as W'Kabi, given the shooting schedule of the latter Jordan Peele film, though much of the original cast will, including Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Martin Freeman, and Winston Duke. Writer/director Ryan Coogler also returns for the sequel. 2018's Black Panther grossed $1.347 billion worldwide, making it one of the top-earning solo releases for an MCU film to date. The Youtube video of Wakanda Forever's trailer has almost reached 20 million views just two days after its release.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be out in theaters on Nov. 11.
