A new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever deleted scene just dropped that teases Okoye's Marvel Cinematic Universe future following her exit from the Dora Milaje. The deleted scene comes courtesy of USA Today. In it, Shuri (Letitia Wright) bids Okoye (Danai Gurira) farewell following the climactic battle with Namor (Tenoch Huerta Mejía). Shuri then asks Okoye where she will go next, to which the Dora Milaje's former general replies, "Wherever my new spacesuit takes me," referring to her recently acquired Midnight Angel armor. Okoye adds that she is no longer part of Wakanda's special forces, seemingly indicating that she will operate independently under the Midnight Angel persona in forthcoming MCU films. Despite this, Okoya also promises Shuri that she will come to her aid "Anytime, anywhere," before the pair part ways. Related: Michael B. This is the second Okoye-centric Black Panther: Wakanda Forever deleted scene to make its way online recently. The first is set after Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett) has expelled Okoye from the Dora Milaje, and sees her visit her uncle, a Border Tribe elder (Danny Sapani). During their conversation, Okoye's uncle tries to convince her to challenge Shuri for the throne of Wakanda, after Ramonda's death at Namor's hands. Okoye objects to this plan, demonstrating her continued loyalty towards Shuri despite her status as an ex-Dora Milaje.

Black Panther 2's Cut Content

Not all of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's cut content revolves around Okoye. Another deleted scene currently doing the rounds features CIA operative Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman) running a covert mission on his Wakandan allies' behalf. This involves sneaking into the NSA and positioning Shuri's Kimoyo Beads next to a laptop owned by Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) to extract information from it. Ross ultimately flushes the Kimoyo Beads down a toilet, bringing them into close enough proximity to Riri's laptop for the mission to succeed.

Other omitted Black Panther: Wakanda Forever material confirmed to exist includes a subplot centered around Shuri and Riri, which depicts them being held captive in Namor's undersea kingdom, Talokan. Dominique Thorne described the subplot in a recent interview, explaining that it was designed to showcase Shuri and Riri's burgeoning friendship against the backdrop of them plotting their escape. "[They're] sort of siphoning off materials and supplies to rig their own distraction and get out of there. And while they're doing that, just sort of talking about life experiences," Thorne said.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently streaming on Disney+.
