Everett K. Ross goes undercover in a deleted scene from Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, titled "The Upstairs Toilet."

Shared by io9, the scene sees Ross, portrayed by Martin Freeman, completing a mission for the Wakandans. In the scene, Ross must infiltrate the NSA building in order to get Shuri's Kimoyo Beads close enough to Riri Williams' laptop to extract information from it. While he is unable to do this on the first attempt, he chooses to flush the beads down the upstairs toilet. Since the beads' signal will transmit through concrete, the Wakandans are able to extract the information and the mission is a success.

Freeman has portrayed Everett Ross since the first Black Panther film in 2018. As for "The Upstairs Toilet" scene, this is not the only deleted element from Wakanda Forever. Dominique Thorne, who made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Riri Williams/Ironheart in the Black Panther sequel, recently discussed an unused, Iron Man-inspired subplot involving her and Letitia Wright's Shuri.

"[Shuri and Riri are] working on this thing for [Namor and the Talokanil] that they say they'll give them in exchange for their life. But all the while, [they're] sort of siphoning off materials and supplies to rig their own distraction and get out of there. And while they're doing that, just sort of talking about life experiences."

Wakanda Forever's Original Plotline

Wakanda Forever director and co-writer Ryan Coogler has also discussed the original plan for the movie, which had T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) meeting his son Toussaint. The film was also originally going to explore T'Challa's return from the Blip after being gone for five years, though the plot of Wakanda Forever was reworked following Boseman's death in 2020.

"The first scene was an animated sequence," Coogler said. "You hear Nakia talking to Toussaint. She says, 'Tell me what you know about your father.' You realize that he doesn't know his dad was the Black Panther. He's never met him, and Nakia is remarried to a Haitian dude. Then, we cut to reality and it's the night that everybody comes back from the Blip. You see T'Challa meet the kid for the first time."

Wakanda Forever released in theaters in November 2022. According to Wright, Black Panther 3 is "already in the works." However, she added that "it's going to take a while, but really excited for you guys to see that." However, this has not been officially confirmed by Marvel or Disney.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives on Disney+ on Feb. 1.
