Disney's D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, gave attendees plenty of tantalizing sneak peeks, including a new look at some Black Panther artwork.

Illustrated by Ryan Meinerding, Marvel Studios' head of visual development, the film's convention poster depicts T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) and Dora Milaje members Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o) and Okoye (Danai Gurira), against the backdrop of a Wakandan landscape.

The D23 Expo gave fans previews of Disney's upcoming plans, with news about a Big Hero 6 TV show, Star Wars: The Last JediAvengers: Infinity War, and more.

After the events of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, King T’Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country’s new leader. However, T’Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakanadan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.

Opening on Feb. 16, 2018, Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, with Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Andy Serkis, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Sterling K. Brown and John Kani.
