Marvel's Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War were the most tweeted-about films on Twitter in 2018.

The social media platform has revealed the top-trending topics and tweets of 2018. A number of mainstays, including HBO's Game of Thrones and Netflix's Stranger Things, maintained their holds on users. However, two entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe emerged as the most-discussed movies of 2018

The Twitter performance was undoubtedly fueled by the overwhelmingly positive reception to both Marvel films, with Black Panther in particular being singled out as perhaps the best entry in the MCU to date. Black Panther has even been nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Drama, a first for a superhero film.

Black Panther will next presumably appear in Avengers 4, which is sure to become one of the most talked-about movies of 2019.
