In only a few short weeks, Marvel's Black Panther has already become one of the most beloved superhero films of all time. Some of its many fans recently received a chance to record a message for its star, Chadwick Boseman, to express what the film means to them. But as it turned out, Boseman was actually hiding behind a curtain waiting to surprise them.

The video, which comes from The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, mostly features fans talking about the importance of Black Panther. However, one particularly comedic entry toward the beginning involves a fellow thanking Boseman for "having [his] suit on for most of the movie," because of his girlfriend's excitement at seeing the actor bare-chested. People's reactions to Boseman's entrance varied from stunned awe to adulation for the king of Wakanda.

Black Panther has broken numerous box-office records, earning more than $750 million worldwide, with a chance of becoming the highest-grossing Marvel film domestically ever. The film is “certified fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes with a rating of 97 percent. Although a sequel to Black Panther has not been announced yet, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has expressed his desire to see director Ryan Coogler return for a potential follow-up.
