Martin Freeman's Everett K. Ross is expected to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the events of Black Panther.

Speaking with Den of Geek, the actor revealed a little about Marvel Studios' plan for his character, saying, "They introduced me in Civil War and said there would be a couple of other films, one of which was Black Panther."

Freeman also spoke about how he wanted to alter Ross' depiction from the comic book source material. Created writer Christopher Priest and artist Kenny Martinez, Ross was originally depicted as more scared than his onscreen counterpart. As the actor put it, "I think the trope of a nervous white guy, cool black guy, we've seen it a million times before breakfast."

There has been no word on where Freeman's Ross will show up next. His name has not been associated with the laundry list of actors in Avengers: Infinity War. Given his connection to T'Challa in the comics, it's likely he will return in subsequent Black Panther films.
