Over 200 digital issues of Black Panther comics were recently made available for free on ComiXology. This includes almost every issue of the comics, with some notable exclusions.Most of the comics available are single issues and can be purchased individually (and digitally) for free. Available collections include all eight issues of Black Panther and The Agents of Wakanda written by Jim Zub. However, they cannot be purchased as a collection but must be obtained individually.

ComiXology did not announce this deal on the company's official Twitter, or any other social media platforms, but it has traveled quickly across the internet through word of mouth. Not included in this deal are notable Black Panther runs such as the Don McGregor and Billy Graham issues published between 1973 and 1976.

Also available for free are all of the Shuri comics, which star T'Challa/Black Panther's younger sister, Shuri. The series was published in 2018 after the character's first appearance in the MCU.

It was announced in August that Chadwick Boseman, the actor who portrayed the titular character in Marvel's Black Panther, had passed away after a long battle with colon cancer. He was 43.
