A new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever rumor claims at least one existing character will suit up as T'Challa's replacement.

The moderators of the r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers subreddit dropped a batch of rumored details about Marvel's upcoming films and Disney+ shows. The mods of the subreddit are well-known for vetting leakers, and several of the details have been either teased or confirmed since they first received the info. According to the leakers, Black Panther 2 will see Okoye put on her own Black Panther suit, though she won't be the full-time replacement for T'Challa. Based on the info, that could mean that the leader of the Dora Milaje will temporarily take up the mantle to protect Wakanda while the nation seeks a permanent replacement for their king.

The leaker also revealed that the events of Eternals will play into Black Panther 2, angering Namor and bringing the iconic antihero into the fold. There have been rumors for quite some time that Namor and the Atlanteans will be coming to the MCU.

In June, word emerged that Narcos: Mexico star Tenoch Huerta had been cast as Namor for the Black Panther sequel. Later in the summer, Mabel Cadena was reported to have joined the film as Namora, the cousin of the Atlantean king. More details about the presence of the lost kingdom have floated around throughout the past year, making it seem almost certain that the characters will play a central role in the film.

Besides the Atlantean rumors, little is known about the plot of Black Panther 2 and how the film will address the real-life passing of Chadwick Boseman. It's been assumed that Shuri actor Leticia Wright will pick up the mantle as her character did in the comics, but the latest rumor hints that the Wakandan general might be more suited to the role. Interestingly, another recent rumor claimed Okoye would receive a Disney+ spinoff series following the film, further teasing her expanded role in the MCU moving forward.

The Marvel Studios leaks have also supplied a number of other interesting, albeit rumored, details about the MCU. Jim Carrey has reportedly been cast as M.O.D.O.K., while it's rumored that Mahershala Ali's Blade will debut on Moon Knight.

Written and directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters on Nov. 11, 2022.
