A host of behind-the-scenes footage has Black Panther: Wakanda Forever fans lamenting Marvel's CGI on certain parts of Namor's outfit.Twitter users began to post side-by-side images of Namor before and after CGI, as well as video of Tenoch Huerta in his speedo on the set, which revealed a bit of CGI magic. Fans quickly noticed that Marvel had CGI'd Namor's bulge, seemingly to keep it less conspicuous in the film's final edit. Many began complaining about the modifications on social media, wondering at Marvel and Disney's habit of CGIing tight-fitting costumes on men in films.RELATED: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Weighs in on a Longstanding Namor Debate

The revelation quickly drew comparisons to previous cases of CGI for the same purpose. Several years prior, fans blew up social media when one pointed out how Marvel CGI'd Loki's pants in the first Thor film for the same reasons. Many questioned Marvel and Disney's habit of editing out bulges in costumes, while others lamented the change or the poor use of CGI to do the cover-up.

Namor's Popularity After Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever introduced Namor to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though he's a new character to the MCU, he's one of the oldest in Marvel's long line of comics, debuting in 1939's Marvel Comics #1 by Bill Everett. Fan and critical reception to Huerta's portrayal of the character in the new MCU film have been overwhelmingly positive, with many heavily praising his performance. After Black Panther's massive success with Killmonger, as played by Michael B. Jordon, many consider Huerta's Namor a successful successor to the villains in the franchise.

Huerta expressed great interest in the idea when asked about the possibility of continuing to play Namor in a solo film. "I would like it, but I don't know," he said. "It depends on what [Marvel Studios President and Chief Creative Officer] Kevin Feige says he wants. It depends on the inbox. It depends on the people, and how many tickets they buy. So please: buy a lot of tickets." Feige himself said something similar during the premiere of Wakanda Forever, stating that any Namor solo film would depend on the success of his first appearance in the new movie.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, directed by Ryan Coogler, sees the famous nation try to find its footing after the death of King T'Challa as multiple rising powers threaten its peaceful existence. The film, which closes out the MCU's Phase 4, is in theaters now.
