Netflix had officially announced a fifth season of Charlie Brooker's sci-fi series Black Mirror with a chilling new teaser.Revealed on the show's official Twitter account, another run of episodes is expected sometime in the near future through the streaming service. The teaser shows clips from various episodes as the camera pans out on a mass of screens, as well as an equally cryptic promise of a brighter future. Fans are left guessing what this could mean, but as usual, the show isn't giving anything away just yet.

From the warped mind of Brooker, the horror/sci-fi spectacle has grown from its humble roots on the United Kingdom's Channel 4 to join Netflix's family of original programming. Continuing from the Emmy Award-winning third season, fans were able to enjoy Season 4 when it premiered on the streaming service late last year.

Season 4 contained the usual crop of controversial episodes, while the team behind the show have teased possible sequels to previous stories or even a spin-off for fan-favorite episode "U.S.S. Callister." Whether any of this will come into play in Season 5 remains to be seen, but Netflix is assured of another big following for Black Mirror.

Given that Black Mirror is been known for A-list talent like Jon Hamm, Bryce Dallas Howard and Jesse Plemons, the dystopian horror is guaranteed to bring on some more big stars for Season 5. Sadly, the tagline "Be Right Back" also doesn't reveal when the show will return to Netflix.
