Season 5 of the Emmy Award-winning sci-fi anthology series Black Mirror has been delayed.

Black Mirror recently released, Bandersnatch, its latest installment, on Netflix. The first feature-length film from the series, Bandersnatch was modeled as a choose-your-own-adventure story about a young game designer in 1984 who begins to question the reality around him.

Viewers are allowed to choose what path the heroes take, with reportedly five hours of total footage available to explore. However, the result of all that work has finally caught up with the creators.

The Hollywood Reporter spoke with Black Mirror creator/writer Charlie Brooker and his producing partner Annabel Jones about the film, and the pair confirmed that the upcoming fifth season of the series has been delayed. Netflix has not announced a release date for new episodes, although it still tentatively projected to premiere sometime in 2019. Netflix has not released an episode count for the upcoming season.
