Black Mirror fans may have to a while for another season as creator Charlie Brooker revealed the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic may signal the end of the anthology series.

The producer-writer was very honest about the dystopian series' future, tell Radio Times, "I’ve been busy, doing things. I don’t know what I can say about what I’m doing and not doing."

He went on to express doubt about creating Season 6 given the devastation from the pandemic. "At the moment, I don’t know what stomach there would be for stories about societies falling apart, so I’m not working away on one of those," Brooker explained. "I’m sort of keen to revisit my comic skill set, so I’ve been writing scripts aimed at making myself laugh."

Season 5 of Black Mirror featured three episodes and starred Anthony Mackie and Miley Cyrus. The episode "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too" became a viral sensation as many of Ashley's (played by Miley Cyrus) songs charting on the Billboard charts.
