Black Lightning star Marvin "Krondon" Jones III revealed he was secretly a member of the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse cast.

Jones plays the crime boss Tobias Whale in The CW television series, Black Lightning. Whale is one of the primary villains of the series, a former politician who became a crime lord when his corruption was revealed to the world. It turns out that Black Lightning wasn’t the only superhero that Jones is going up against this year, as he also had a secret appearance in the reality-bending animated Spider-Man film.

Jones posted to his Instagram account revealing the news of his portrayal of the infamous Marvel gangster, while also gushing over the film. The post also featured a picture of Tombstone from the film as he lounged around a Spider-Man related event.

Directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman and starring Shameik Moore, Brian Tyree Henry, Jake Johnson, Mahershala Ali, Hailee Steinfeld, Liev Schreiber, Luna Lauren Velez, Lily Tomlin, Nicolas Cage, John Mulaney Kimiko Glenn, and Marin ‘Krondon’ Jones III, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swings into theaters Dec. 14.
